Beginner’s Guide: Building a Skincare Routine

A beginner skincare routine should focus on essential steps that support skin health without being overly complicated. Here’s a simple routine from Pure + Kiwi that’s effective and easy to maintain:

1. Cleanser

- Purpose: Removes dirt, oil, and makeup from the skin.
- Recommendation: CLEAN SLATE - featuring  "Pohutukawa", known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

2. Serum

Purpose: Using a vitamin C serum in the morning helps protect against environmental damage and brightens the skin.
Recommendation: REWIND - featuring  "Kiwifruit", a potent source of vitamin C, an antioxidant known for its skin-brightening properties.

3. Moisturizer

- Purpose: Hydrates and protects the skin barrier, keeping it soft and resilient.
- Recommendation:  COCO LUSH - a oil-free, non-comedogenic moisturizer offers a blend of hydration, nourishment, and soothing properties.  It deeply nourishes and repairs the skin's barrier . It is ideal for sensitive, acne prone or dry skin.

4. Sunscreen (AM Only)

- Purpose: Protects the skin from UV damage, preventing premature aging and skin cancer.
- Recommendation: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

> Optional Additions for Targeted Benefits

- Exfoliator (1-2 Times Weekly, PM): Consider incorporating a gentle natural exfoliant, like BUFF OFF, once or twice a week to keep skin smooth and minimize clogged pores.

Sample Routine

- Morning: CLEAN SLATE (Cleanser )→ REWIND (Serum) → COCO LUSH (Moisturizer) → Sunscreen
- Evening: CLEAN SLATE (Cleanser) → COCO LUSH (Moisturizer)
- Weekly: BUFF OFF (Exfoliator) - 1-2 times a week in the evening

This beginner routine will help maintain healthy skin while protecting it from damage. After consistently following this, you can gradually add more targeted treatments based on specific skin needs or goals.
